The challenge
I explored the problems users are experiencing and defined a guiding question for solving them.

Secondary research
ere are the three main points and supporting articles related to challenges warehouses may face in international business. These insights come from my professional experience in logistics and were further validated through secondary research.
User interview
My target audience consists of individuals who work in warehouse environments within international business, particularly those who handle containers. I reached out to professionals on LinkedIn and also leveraged my network of former coworkers from my time in the logistics industry.

Through my research and affinity mapping, I found that time, coordination, and cost are among the primary challenges currently facing the industry.

I needed a specific target group, so I joined several LinkedIn groups related to the field. Recruiting people who work in warehouses was difficult when I was conducting user interviews. In comparison, I was able to gather some responses from individuals with warehouse experience, such as supply chain managers. This allowed me to reach a more direct target audience than in my user interview research, which involved some indirect participants.

I created a persona from the perspective of a user, a trading company that consolidates shipments to send overseas.

Originally, there was only distance information for driving. After the iteration, I added three features: driving, transportation, and walking. I also made the workplace location display more visually appealing.

In addition, they can have products ready as soon as the containers arrive, which will help improve the flow of the supply chain. This prevents waste of time and money for the company.

Learning
People who are online and reachable for interviews are usually not the physical workers, so it's hard to recruit physical warehouse workers online. In conclusion, my interviews were mostly with indirect parties. The user interviews were limited for this project. I learned that, depending on the industry, recruiting interviewees can be difficult.
If I had more time, I would design a detailed profile for warehouse staff that highlights their work experience. Warehouse workers also require some training and experience, so I would need to think about how to display their qualifications.
